WotLK Classic BiS lists cover all 30 specs from pre-raid to Icecrown Citadel

Best-in-slot lists for Wrath of the Lich King Classic now cover all 30 specs. There are 150 lists, from pre-raid gear to Icecrown Citadel and The Ruby Sanctum. The last twelve lists, for phase 1, were added on 23 July.

The phases

The pre-raid lists lean on heroic dungeons, Emblems of Triumph, the Argent Tournament and crafted gear. Phase 1 covers Naxxramas, The Obsidian Sanctum and The Eye of Eternity, with Tier 7. Phase 2 is Ulduar with Tier 8, phase 3 Trial of the Crusader with Tier 9, and phase 4 Icecrown Citadel with Tier 10 and The Ruby Sanctum.

Several lists flag legendaries that stay best in slot. Val’anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings, comes from Ulduar and is the top pick for healers. Shadowmourne is the choice for strength-based melee in Icecrown Citadel.

Sources

Most lists are based on the gear guides of Icy Veins. Icy Veins has no phase 1 tables for Paladin, Hunter, Rogue and Death Knight. Those twelve lists come from the WotLK Classic phase 1 guides of Wowhead.

For phase 3, Icy Veins splits some tables by faction. The lists use the Alliance items; the Horde versions drop from the same bosses at the same item level. A few item origins that were wrong on the source pages were corrected against the encounter lists.
