A shovel digs up Grave Moss in Duskwood

A new weapon on the WoW Forever beta digs up Grave Moss. The Graverobber’s Shovel has 20 charges to open graves at Raven Hill Cemetery in Duskwood and at the Scarlet Monastery Graveyard. One player spent all 20 and got 9 Grave Moss.

It is the second weapon with a gathering effect in Forever. Early in the beta, players found the Rockslicer, an axe from The Deadmines that mines without the tradeskill.

The shovel

The Graverobber’s Shovel is a two-handed mace of item level 28 that requires level 23. It drops from Dextren Ward in The Stockade, with a chance of about 1.5% on the beta. It adds 12 Attack Power, doubled against Undead.

Dig digs up a grave and has a cooldown of 2 minutes. It only works at Raven Hill Cemetery and at the Scarlet Monastery Graveyard. No Herbalism is needed.

What 20 charges gave

A player on Reddit used all 20 charges at Raven Hill Cemetery. The graves spawned a number of level 30 Disturbed Ghoul. They gave experience but dropped nothing. The 20 graves gave 9 Grave Moss.

Grave Moss is an Alchemy material. In Classic it went into Shadow Oil and the Shadow Protection Potion. Players mostly drank the stronger Greater Shadow Protection Potion, but the normal potion still helped against fights such as The Four Horsemen in Naxxramas. Which fights in Forever call for Shadow Resistance, is not known yet.

The beta runs until 21 October. WoW Forever launches on 4 November.
