Aggrend hints at a mega dungeon like Blackrock Depths

Josh Greenfield, known as Aggrend, has hinted at a mega dungeon like Blackrock Depths for World of Warcraft: Forever. On X he answered a player who asked for one with “Hold our beer(s)”. His screenshot shows a furbolg in front of a cave.

The player wrote that Forever has an amazing foundation, and that with the right art style and a good mega dungeon like Blackrock Depths it would be game of the year. Greenfield quoted that last part and added his reply, on 28 September at 01.44 Belgian time.

What the screenshot shows

The image shows a cave entrance under a huge fallen tree in an autumn forest. A standing stone next to it carries a green rune, and a furbolg stands at the entrance. Greenfield says nothing about where it is.

Wowhead reads it as Blackmaw Hold, one of the two dungeons at the top of the level range. Blizzard describes Blackmaw Hold as a large furbolg city for levels 55 to 60, which fits the furbolg in the picture.

Why Blackrock Depths is the measure

Blackrock Depths is the biggest dungeon of Classic, for levels 52 to 60. It has around twenty bosses, takes hours to clear, and holds 24 quests, as the dungeon guide shows.

What is not known

Which dungeon Greenfield means is not confirmed. Neither is how big it gets, or whether it is in the game at the launch on 4 November. Blackmaw Hold and Shaper’s Terrace are not on the beta yet.
