Bill Bailey narrates a nature film about Azeroth
Blizzard has started a comic video series called Planet Azeroth. British comedian Bill Bailey narrates it in the style of a nature documentary. The first episode lasts almost seven minutes and visits Elwynn Forest, Durotar, Tirisfal Glades and the Barrens.
The episode appeared on 28 October at 16.00 Belgian time on the official World of Warcraft channel, one week before the launch on 4 November.
Elwynn Forest
Bailey starts with the Timber Wolf, the first great predator many players meet. Its strategy has two moves, he says: lunge and step back. Then come the boars of the meadows, and a count of 65,340,285 boars that players have already killed.
At Crystal Lake, the clear water hides Murlocs that attack anyone who comes close. Below the forest live the Kobolds. To them a candle is a status symbol, and whoever threatens it can expect a fight.
Durotar, Tirisfal Glades and the Barrens
In the Valley of Trials in Durotar, Bailey follows the peons who would rather keep sleeping. Tirisfal Glades, where the undead begin, gets Duskbats and a large spider.
The Barrens end with Kodo Beasts, Bristleback quilboar and the Barrens Chat. Bailey calls the zone chat “the WhatsApp group from hell”. The episode closes in Elwynn Forest with Hogger.
How many episodes follow, and when, Blizzard does not say.
