Dalaran opens on the beta, for the Alliance only
Dalaran is open on the beta of WoW Forever. The Alliance walks in freely; the Horde is not welcome, even though the city is marked as a Sanctuary. Inside wait trainers, battlemasters and the way into a new dungeon, writes Wowhead.
Getting in
The city stands in the Alterac Mountains, northwest of Southshore. There are three ways in:
- The stairs just north of Hillsbrad Fields.
- A flying ship between Dalaran and Valanaar on Zephras Isle, the hub of the Skyborne. It lands outside the Violet Citadel, south of Fenris Isle.
- A portal in the Violet Citadel to the Wizard’s Sanctum in Stormwind City, with a portal back.
No flight path lands in Dalaran yet.

The Kirin Tor guards do not give directions, unlike the guards in other cities.
One quest so far
With the beta at level 20, Dalaran has one quest. Belanaa Windveil, the cloth quartermaster of the High Order in The Sky Enclave, asks for 60 
Wool Cloth in A Donation of Wool. The chain continues with 60 
Silk Cloth, 60 
Mageweave Cloth and 60 
Runecloth.
Battlegrounds in The Underbelly
Down in The Underbelly, four battlemasters queue for every battleground: “Techs” Rickard Rustbolt for Warsong Gulch, Minzi the Minx for Arathi Basin, Sai for Alterac Valley and Bimble Sparkfingers for the new Darkspear Islands. “Dapper” Danik Blackshaft, Nixi Fireclaw and Blazik Fireclaw sell PvP gear.
The way into the City of Dalaran
The City of Dalaran is a new dungeon for levels 28 to 33. The Alliance reaches it through a pipe in Cantrips & Crows, in the Dalaran Sewers: open the gate and follow the pipe to the portal.
The Horde enters from outside the city, at /way 8.8 59.6, with the 
Dalaran Sewer Key.
A jeweler without a tradeskill
In Cartier & Co. Fine Jewelry, at /way 18.1 61.9, stands Timothy Jones, an Apprentice Jeweler. That title usually belongs to a trainer, notes Wowhead. Jewelcrafting is not part of Forever, and he teaches nothing yet.
What is not known
Where the Horde gets the Dalaran Sewer Key, Blizzard does not say. Nor whether a flight path to Dalaran follows, or whether the jeweler ever becomes a trainer.
