The Darkmoon Faire opens first in Elwynn Forest

The first Darkmoon Faire of World of Warcraft: Forever stops in Elwynn Forest. The tents and wagons are already going up. According to the in-game calendar, the Faire opens on Monday 9 November and stays for a week.

One week in Elwynn

The calendar shows the Faire from Monday 9 to Monday 16 November. “The Darkmoon Faire is here, this time in idyllic Elwynn Forest”, the event text says. Alliance players have it close to home first. In Classic Era, the Faire moves between Elwynn Forest and Mulgore.

Games, reputation and a world buff

At the Faire you play mini games, earn reputation with the Darkmoon Faire and buy rare items. The best known reason to go is Sayge’s Dark Fortune of Damage from Sayge: 10% more damage for 2 hours.

That buff is worth less in Forever. World buffs do not work in raids there, only in the open world.

Whether the Faire brings anything new in Forever, is not known yet. That only becomes clear once it opens on Monday.
