Five hours of maintenance before the launch
Blizzard takes World of Warcraft: Forever down for a long maintenance on the day of the launch. It lasts about five hours and should end when the game opens, at 15:00 Pacific time on 4 November. In Belgium that is 00:00 on 5 November, so the maintenance starts around 19:00 on 4 November.
The notice is in the Battle.net launcher. During the maintenance nobody can log in.
Download first
Everyone can download the game in advance now, also players without a Skyborne pack. Do it before the evening of 4 November, so the download does not cost you time at the launch.
Longer or shorter
A launch maintenance often runs longer than planned. It can also end early, but nobody should count on that. On the forums, players ask why Blizzard does not do the work a day earlier. Blizzard has not explained it.
What comes after the launch, such as the raids on 9 December, is in our timeline of WoW Forever.
