Five players hit level 60 in a record launch

Five players reached level 60 in World of Warcraft: Forever at exactly the same time, almost 52 hours after the launch. That same night, Blizzard called Forever the biggest launch in the history of WoW.

Five at once

The launch was at 00.00 Belgian time on 5 November, so the five hit level 60 just before 04.00 on 7 November. The characters are Jokerd Prime, Burning Speed, Cloud Bells, Lmgd Mmr and Vitochie Gofast. All five streamed on Twitch.

They leveled as one group. A Paladin pulled large packs of monsters, and the Mages killed them all at once with Arcane Explosion.

The group kept its experience as equal as possible. A single experience point could leave one player behind, Jokerd explained on his stream. The last 4 percent of level 59 was the hardest part: the group calculated which monsters to kill, and when, to finish together.

How the group prepared, Jokerd plans to explain on stream in the coming days, once all five have slept.

Biggest launch in WoW history

Blizzard shared two records on X at 03.30 on 7 November. Forever had the most players online at the same time of any launch in the history of World of Warcraft. It also brought back more returning players than any launch before.

Congratulations everyone, you made HISTORY! WoW: Forever has achieved: 🔹The biggest launch in WoW history by peak concurrent players 🔹The highest number of returning players in WoW history

How many players that is, Blizzard does not say. The raids open on 9 December.
