Game Masters walk Azeroth again at the launch

For the first time in years, players in World of Warcraft: Forever met Game Masters in the world. They came for the launch: at least two in Thunder Bluff during the night of 6 to 7 November, and at least one for the Alliance.

All named Snowstorm

Every GM carried the last name Snowstorm, a wink at Blizzard. One of them was Razerium Snowstorm, an Orc in a blue robe. Players who spoke to them say they all came with jokes.

Rare since Vanilla

In original WoW, a GM sometimes turned up in person to answer a ticket, joke with players or just play along. Over the years that happened less and less. The last time many GMs walked the world was the launch of Classic Anniversary.

Whether this was a one-off for the launch, or GMs will show up more often in Forever, is not known.
