McDonald's Australia offers a Lil' Ragnaros pet
McDonald’s Australia is offering three rewards for World of Warcraft in its MyMacca’s app. Each costs 2,000 points: 14 days of Game Time, the Lil’ Ragnaros pet or the Portable Bakery, a cosmetic for the back. The offer runs until 22 January 2027.
The promotion follows an earlier campaign in which Australian customers could exchange MyMacca’s points for access to the beta of World of Warcraft: Forever. Like that one, it runs only in Australia, through the loyalty programme of McDonald’s.
The three rewards
The Game Time code gives 14 days of play, counted from the moment it is claimed on Battle.net. Forever is included in a regular subscription or Game Time, so those days count for Forever as well, as Blizzard said at the announcement.
Lil’ Ragnaros is a companion pet, a small Firelord on a pool of lava. The Portable Bakery is a transmog item for the back: a wooden pack full of bread rolls, with a rolling pin and a fork on the side.

The pet and the back piece only work while the account has Game Time or an active subscription, according to the terms. Whether they also show up in Forever is not stated. The rewards page of McDonald’s Australia speaks of World of Warcraft in general and does not mention Forever. Lil’ Ragnaros has not turned up in the data of the Forever beta so far.
How to redeem a reward
- Open the MyMacca’s app and go to Rewards & Deals.
- Scroll to Partner Rewards and choose one of the three rewards.
- Copy the code that the app shows after redeeming the points.
- Log in to Battle.net, or create a free account.
- Go to Account and Redeem Code, enter the code and follow the steps.
The step-by-step instructions on the page mention 1,000 points, while the rest of the page asks 2,000 per reward. Which of the two the app charges is not clear from the page.
Limits and dates
Each reward can be redeemed once per MyMacca’s account and once per World of Warcraft account, while stocks last. The pet and the back piece cannot be claimed on an account that already owns them. The offer is not meant for children under 15.
The codes are available in the app until 22 January 2027 and must be claimed on Battle.net by 31 January 2027. Blizzard provides the rewards but does not organise the promotion, according to the terms.
Outside Australia
Only an Australian MyMacca’s account can exchange points for the rewards. The codes themselves are claimed on Battle.net. Whether a code from Australia also works on an account in another region is not confirmed. With the beta codes of the earlier campaign, that appeared to work. The terms do forbid reselling a code.
