New guides for the Arcane Mage and the Hunter

The site has two new class guides: one for the Arcane Mage and one for leveling a Hunter. Both hold builds for level 30, the cap of the beta, and both are in all six languages. Every build opens in the talent calculator.

Arcane Mage

The Arcane Mage guide covers a spec that finally has damage spells of its own. Arcane Blast gives 15% of your Intellect as spell damage per stack, up to 4 stacks, but makes every next cast 175% more expensive. Missile Barrage and Arcane Wrath complete the rotation.

The guide has two builds: one for questing with Improved Channeling, and one for dungeons with less threat and more critical strike chance. It also explains the burn phases, mana, survival without Ice Block, stats, races and professions.

Hunter leveling

The Hunter leveling guide has builds for Beast Mastery, Marksmanship and Survival, each with the order in which to take the talents. Beast Mastery is the smoothest way to level: the pet takes the hits while you shoot.

The guide also lists every key level from 1 to 60. Aimed Shot is no longer a talent: every Hunter learns it at level 20. On top of that come the taming quest, weapons, ranged weapons to level 30, professions, traps, tracking and Aspects.

The numbers follow the tooltips of the beta. Scare Beast lasts up to 10 seconds at rank 1, for example, and Tranquilizing Shot removes a Frenzy effect.

All class guides are on the guides page.
