Over 200 new quests found in levels 1 to 30

A player on the beta of World of Warcraft: Forever counted every new quest up to level 30 and found more than 200. Blizzard promises over 1,000 new quests, so about 800 would still wait between level 30 and 60.

Where the new quests are

Most of the new quests are in the Wetlands and the starting zones. The Wetlands also have the new dungeon Excavation Site. Zones for levels 20 to 30, such as Duskwood, Ashenvale and Hillsbrad Foothills, look mostly untouched.

The new zones Mount Hyjal, the Riverglades and Shen’dralas were not on the beta, which stopped at level 30. More about them is in four new zones and three ports.

Hidden on the beta

Not everything was visible during the beta. Aggrend said so in podcast episode 5. The quest for the torch, for example, was only switched on later, because the developers wanted to test whether the new lighting caused performance problems. How to get it is in the guide to the Night Watchman’s Torch.

World of Warcraft: Forever launches on 4 November.
