Priests level to 30 with a wand and Discipline

Priests in World of Warcraft: Forever level most calmly with a wand and the Discipline tree. Shadow kills faster, but only shines from about level 28. Holy mainly suits players who heal a lot of dungeons. Three builds for level 30 are ready.

The first 20 to 30 levels barely differ. A Priest opens with Smite, gets a wand as soon as possible and stays alive with Power Word: Shield and heals while the wand does the damage. An Enchanter can make a Lesser Magic Wand at level 5.

Three builds at level 30

Discipline takes Wand Specialization, Twin Disciplines, Improved Power Word: Shield, Meditation and Mental Strength, and ends in Penance at 30. Shadow takes Spirit Tap, Improved Mind Blast, Mind Flay with Improved Mind Flay, Vampiric Embrace and Shadow Weaving. Holy takes Holy Specialization, Divine Fury, Holy Nova, Improved Healing and Binding Heal.

Each build opens in the talent calculator from the new Priest guide. Our Priest level build gives a talent for every level up to 60.

No snapshot for damage over time

On the beta, spells over time such as Renew, Shadow Word: Pain and Devouring Plague update their value while they run. They no longer keep the value from the moment of casting, so a spell power buff during the spell counts right away. Blizzard has not announced this.

Crafted gear also matters more, because spell damage coefficients changed. Tailoring with Enchanting is the classic pair for a Priest. Cooking helps every class, since food now also gives extra experience.
