Recipes can be tracked like a quest

Professions in WoW Forever get three conveniences. A recipe can be tracked like a quest, a whole profession book can be linked in chat, and new filters sort the recipes. All three are already in the beta.

Tracking a recipe

The profession window has a new checkbox, Track Recipe, at the bottom near Create All.

Ticking it puts the reagents on the right of the screen, under the quests, in the same list as the objectives. That helps when buying materials at the Auction House or farming them in the world.

Linking the profession book

A small chat bubble sits to the right of the skill bar. Clicking it opens a menu that posts the profession book in a chat channel of choice, such as Guild, Party, General or Trade. Other players click the link and see the skill and every recipe.

New filters

Forever adds over 600 new recipes, and new filters help to find the right one:

  • Has skill up shows only recipes that still raise the skill.
  • Have materials shows only what can be crafted right now.
  • Slots narrows the list to one gear slot, such as trinkets.
  • The search bar finds a recipe by name.
