Scarlet Monastery loot gets new effects

Drops from Scarlet Monastery look different on the World of Warcraft: Forever beta. Testers at level 30 find white and green items turned blue, with new effects. The Chain of the Scarlet Crusade set also gets new bonuses, writes Icy Veins.

Not every wing has been cleared yet. The items below come from Graveyard and Library. The data comes from Today in WoW, according to Icy Veins.

Graveyard

Torturing Poker from Interrogator Vishas no longer deals a fixed amount of Fire damage. Every melee hit now tortures the target for 1 Fire damage and adds 1 to that damage, up to 10 stacks. The dagger needs a few hits, but at full stacks every attack deals 10 extra Fire damage.

Bloody Brass Knuckles, also from Vishas, used to be a white fist weapon. Now it is blue, with 12 Attack Power and another 15 against Humanoids.

Bloodmage Mantle from Bloodmage Thalnos goes from green to blue. The cloth shoulders give 9 Intellect, up to 9 spell damage and healing, and restore 9 health every 5 seconds. Icy Veins sees a use for Warlocks who use Life Tap.

The rare Azshir the Sleepless drops two changed items. Ghostshard Talisman used to give only Stamina and Spirit. Now it gives 9 Stamina, 14 Attack Power and another 12 against Undead. Necrotic Wand becomes a healing wand: up to 9 healing, 3 spell damage and 4 Shadow Resistance.

Library

Loksey’s Training Stick from Houndmaster Loksey used to be good only against Beasts. The staff now gives 28 Attack Power and a chance on hit to deal 91 Physical damage. Canines and Hyenas hit by it are stunned for 3 seconds, and they sit down.

Loksey also drops a new Houndmaster Boomerang. The thrown weapon gives 4 Stamina, 4 Attack Power and another 9 against Beasts. Like any boomerang, it returns to your hand after a throw. The item is not yet in the files of build 1.60.1.70178.

New bonuses for the Chain of the Scarlet Crusade

Dataminers found two new effects for Chain of the Scarlet Crusade. No piece of the set has dropped on the beta yet, as far as Icy Veins knows. The files of the build list these bonuses:

3	+30 Attack Power against Undead
4	Enraging Light: taking damage has a 15% chance to make your melee attacks deal 20 Holy damage for 10 seconds, three times as much against Undead
5	+1% chance to hit
6	Scarlet Guardian: taking damage at or below 20% health gives a shield that absorbs damage for 10 seconds, once every 4 minutes

Icy Veins calls it a strong set for tanks and for players who level alone. Whether it works like this in the game, only a drop will tell.
