Shamans earn a weapon with a level 30 quest chain

A quest chain for Shamans on the WoW Forever beta ends with a choice of three weapons and a shield. It starts at level 30, right after the quest for the Wind Totem. Since the build of 8 October, the totems drop more often.

A player found the chain and posted every step on Reddit. The last step leads to the same NPC who gives Warriors the Whirlwind Axe.

The steps

  1. Elemental Aid. After the Wind Totem quest, kill Charlga Razorflank in Razorfen Kraul and take the Tattered Note from her: Elemental Aid for the Horde, Elemental Aid for the Alliance. The quest is level 33.
  2. Storm, Earth, and Fire. Storm, Earth, and Fire asks for 5 Twisted Fire, Earth, Air and Water Totems each, for Veyric Thunderhame in the Arathi Highlands. The totems drop in Dustwallow Marsh, Desolace, the Swamp of Sorrows and the Badlands.
  3. Heed My Call. In Thousand Needles the Twisted Totems end a quilboar ritual, with waves of elite elementals and Quilltusk quilboar of level 40: Heed My Call for the Horde, Heed My Call for the Alliance.
  4. The Tempest’s Weapons. Bring the Eye of the Tempest to Bath’rah the Windwatcher in the Alterac Mountains, at /way 80.4 66.8: The Tempest’s Weapons for the Horde, The Tempest’s Weapons for the Alliance.

The rewards

One weapon per spec, all item level 40, plus a shield as an extra reward.

Easier since 8 October

Blizzard made the chain easier in the build of 8 October. The creatures for Storm, Earth, and Fire respawn faster and drop their totems more often, more creatures carry them, and the Eye of the Tempest now drops for everyone in the group, according to the development notes.

Shaman

  • The various creatures needed for the quest “Storm, Earth, and Fire” respawn more quickly, creatures drop their twisted totems more often, Maraudine Scouts now drop Twisted Air Totems, Ongeku can now drop a Twisted Earth Totem, Murdaloc can now drop a Twisted Fire Totem. The Twisted Fire Totem can now additionally be obtained via Dustbelcher ogres across the Badlands. Larger encampents like Dustbelch Grotto will respawn more quickly, but smaller ones will not.
  • The Eye of the Tempest for “Heed My Call” is now multi-drop.

Whether the rewards change again before the launch is not known.
