The beta dueling tournament now pays 100,000 dollars
The first dueling tournament of WoW Forever now has a prize pool of 100,000 dollars. Streamer TimTheTatman added 50,000 dollars to it. The Forever Open runs on the beta on 17 and 18 October, for level 30 Horde characters.
The tournament
Tips, known as TipsOut, announced The Forever Open on 27 September, together with Xaryu and Esfand, writes Icy Veins. His post on X lists the rules: the PvP ruleset, the Horde side, level 30, and at first a prize pool of 50,000 dollars.
The tournament is open to anyone. Players register on the Discord server of the event, which the post links to.
Twice the prize pool
A day later TimTheTatman put in another 50,000 dollars, purely for the love of Classic WoW, according to a post on X that shared his announcement. Tips confirmed the details in a new animated video, writes Icy Veins.
The weekend falls in the last days of the beta, which ends on 21 October.
What is not known
How the prize pool is divided, how many players can take part and whether the matches are streamed, the announcements do not say. They do not mention Blizzard.
