Verigan's Fist gets a proc, like the Horde blade

Verigan’s Fist, the level 20 quest weapon of Alliance Paladins, has a proc since the beta build of 1 October. Holy Forgefire deals 39 to 59 Holyfire damage. The Horde weapon Wolfsbane already had such a proc.

Alliance Paladins get the two-handed mace from the questline that ends with The Test of Righteousness. Forever also has Forsaken Paladins, and they earn Wolfsbane with Old Fire-Eye. That sword hits a little harder and had Blazewind Blast from the start, which deals triple damage to Wolves and Worgen.

Alliance players complained about the gap, among others on the European forums. The new proc closes it:

Holy Forgefire: Ignite the target in the flames of the Great Forge, dealing 39 to 59 Holyfire damage. Deals 3 times as much damage to Fire Elementals and Earth Elementals.

What else changes

The mace loses a little elsewhere, according to the files of the build. Stamina drops from 7 to 5 and Spirit from 12 to 10. Intellect stays at 6, and the damage of 65 to 99 at speed 3.20 stays too.

Verigan’s Fist Wolfsbane
Weapon Two-hand mace Two-hand sword
Damage 65 to 99, speed 3.20 69 to 105, speed 3.40
Stats 5 Stamina, 6 Intellect, 10 Spirit 9 Stamina, 10 Intellect
Proc Holy Forgefire Blazewind Blast
Triple damage to Fire and Earth Elementals Wolves and Worgen

Blizzard did not list the change in the notes of the build. How often the proc triggers, the tooltip does not say.
