Hardcore is not available at launch

Hardcore mode is not available when World of Warcraft: Forever launches. Blizzard said so at the What’s Next panel about Hardcore at BlizzCon 2026. The mode follows soon after launch.

What “soon” means, Blizzard does not say. No date and no patch were named.

More is known about how Hardcore works in Forever once it arrives. That came from the same panel, in the Hardcore panel liveblog.
