Bloodsail Buccaneers reputation guide
Based on Classic Era. WoW Forever has not shown its reputations yet, so the numbers and rewards below can still change.
The Bloodsail Buccaneers are the pirates of the South Seas, at war with the goblins of Booty Bay. Every character starts at Hated. The reputation is open to the Alliance and the Horde alike, but it is a trade: every kill that raises it lowers your standing with the Steamwheedle Cartel, the goblins of Booty Bay, Everlook, Gadgetzan and Ratchet. The rewards are cosmetic: a pirate uniform and a hat.
Before you start
Finish everything you still want to do in Booty Bay, Everlook, Gadgetzan and Ratchet: quests, flight paths and vendors. Long before you reach Friendly with the pirates, all four goblin towns are Hated and their guards attack on sight. Winning them back later is a long grind the other way.

Sources do not agree on where a new character starts inside Hated: at the very bottom, or at 35,500, close to Hostile. Friendly is the practical cap. With careful timing of the quests, Honored is possible.

Most other citizens of Booty Bay give 5 reputation. From the bottom of Hated, Friendly takes 1,800 Bruisers; from 35,500, it takes 380. Humans get 10% more reputation from their racial Diplomacy.
Faldir’s Cove
The Blackwater Raiders at Faldir’s Cove in the Arathi Highlands also give reputation, but less than Bruisers and with slower respawns.
Quests
- Dressing the Part (level 47, from Neutral), from Fleet Master Firallon: 25 reputation and the Buccaneer’s Uniform.
- Avast Ye, Scallywag (level 55), from “Pretty Boy” Duncan, sends you on to Fleet Master Firallon.
- Avast Ye, Admiral! needs Friendly with the Bloodsail Buccaneers and Hated with Booty Bay: kill Fleet Master Seahorn and Baron Revilgaz.
Rewards per standing
- Neutral: the Buccaneer’s Uniform from Dressing the Part, with the Bloodsail Shirt, Bloodsail Pants, Bloodsail Sash and Bloodsail Boots.
- Friendly: the Bloodsail Admiral’s Hat from Avast Ye, Admiral!
