Thorium Brotherhood reputation guide

The Thorium Brotherhood are Dark Iron smiths who turned against their own people. Their camp, Thorium Point, sits in the north of the Searing Gorge, and their quartermaster works in The Grim Guzzler inside Blackrock Depths. Every character starts at Neutral, and the reputation is open to the Alliance and the Horde alike. It is a crafters’ reputation: the rewards are the best recipes that use materials from Molten Core.

Where the Thorium Brotherhood is

• Thorium Point in the Searing Gorge, where Master Smith Burninate takes the first turn-ins.
• The Grim Guzzler inside Blackrock Depths, where Lokhtos Darkbargainer takes the later turn-ins and sells the rewards. Reaching him means fighting through part of Blackrock Depths, so bring a group.

Where the reputation comes from

Neutral to Friendly: Thorium Point

Master Smith Burninate has repeatable turn-ins worth 25 reputation each. Every turn-in asks for 2 Incendosaur Scales and 1 Coal, plus one of these:

• 4 Iron Bars
• 4 Kingsblood
• 10 Heavy Leather

Neutral to Friendly is 3,000 reputation, or 120 turn-ins.

Friendly to Honored: Dark Iron Residue

Burninate then takes Dark Iron Residue, 4 per turn-in, for 25 reputation. The residue drops in Blackrock Depths. Friendly to Honored is 6,000 reputation: 240 turn-ins, or 960 residue.

Honored to Exalted: Molten Core materials

Lokhtos Darkbargainer takes materials from Molten Core in repeatable turn-ins, all the way to Exalted.

Honored to Exalted is 33,000 reputation. That is 165 Fiery Cores, Lava Cores or Blood of the Mountain, or 6,600 Dark Iron Ore.

The fastest way to Exalted

1. Start with the turn-ins at Thorium Point, using whichever of Iron Bars, Kingsblood or Heavy Leather is cheapest on the Auction House.
2. Collect Dark Iron Residue on every run through Blackrock Depths, and ask your group for theirs.
3. From Honored on, keep every Fiery Core, Lava Core and Blood of the Mountain from Molten Core. One of those is worth 40 Dark Iron Ore.
4. Buy those cores on the Auction House when they are cheap. Dark Iron Ore alone is the slowest road.
