Enhancement Shaman leveling guide
Enhancement is the usual way to level a Shaman in Classic Era. A slow two-handed weapon with Windfury Weapon from level 30 gives huge hits, Flurry speeds up your attacks after every critical strike, and your own heals, totems and Reincarnation keep you alive. In Classic Era the Shaman is Horde only, for Orcs, Trolls and Taurens.
Strengths and weaknesses
- Windfury Weapon and a slow two-handed weapon give big, sudden damage.
- Mail armor from level 40 and your own heals make you hard to kill.
- Totems like Strength of Earth, Grace of Air and Windfury Totem help every group.
- Mana runs out in long fights, and before level 30 the damage is low.

Two enemies
- Stoneclaw Totem draws the second enemy away from you for a while.
- Searing Totem, or Magma Totem from level 26, adds damage against both.
Staying alive
- Healing Wave, or Lesser Healing Wave from level 20, when a fight turns, and Frost Shock on an enemy that runs away.
- Stoneskin Totem reduces melee damage, and Ghost Wolf from level 20 helps you get away.
- Reincarnation from level 30 brings you back once per hour, as long as you carry an Ankh.
