A new dungeon gets a deep dive at PAX Aus on 9 October
Blizzard brings World of Warcraft: Forever to PAX Aus in Melbourne, from 9 to 11 October. Clay Stone gives a deep dive into one of the new dungeons there. It streams live on Twitch, at 03.00 Belgian time on 9 October.
The keynote
Holly Longdale, executive producer of World of Warcraft, opens PAX Aus 2026 as the Storytime keynote speaker. She talks about her two decades in the games industry, the Warcraft universe and the role of player communities in an MMO, writes Blizzard in a blog post.
Clay Stone, associate production director of World of Warcraft, joins her on stage. He shows one of the new dungeons in Forever, with a look at how the team designs and builds new content. Blizzard calls it an exclusive dungeon deep dive.
When to watch
The keynote streams on the Twitch channels of Warcraft and PAX. It lasts an hour and a half:
- 8 October, 18.00 to 19.30 Pacific time
- 9 October, 03.00 to 04.30 Belgian time
- 9 October, 12.00 to 13.30 in Melbourne
At the show
After the keynote, Longdale and Stone sign in the Meet & Greet room, from 14.00 to 15.00 in Melbourne. That is 05.00 to 06.00 Belgian time, on Friday only.
At the Forever booth, visitors play the beta all weekend and pick up a “Raid for Riches” quest card. Completed quests earn a Pinny Arcade pin of Forever and a place in a prize draw. There is one pin per person, while stocks last.
What is not known
Which dungeon Stone shows, Blizzard does not say. Nor does it say whether the keynote brings other news about Forever, or whether the stream stays online afterwards. The new dungeons are listed in the dungeon guide.
A day earlier, Josh Greenfield hinted at a mega dungeon like Blackrock Depths (more). Whether that is the dungeon at PAX Aus is not known.
