Blizzard's weekly recap looks back on Forever
Blizzard’s weekly recap of World of Warcraft news, published on 16 October, has four stories about World of Warcraft: Forever. They sit next to patch 12.1.5 of Midnight and the coming update Echoes of the Worldcore for the modern game. We covered all four; here they are in one place.
PvP in the podcast
In episode 4 of The WoW: Forever Podcast, host Countdown To Classic and the guests Savix and TipsOut talk with Senior Game Designer Josh “Aggrend” Greenfield and Lead Designer Tim Jones about PvP. Alterac Valley gives less Honor, the other battlegrounds a lot more, and arenas are not coming. Everything about it is in our post about episode 4.
The Paladin deep dive
The last class deep dive is about the Paladin: Seals and Judgements, Holy healing and spell damage, tanking as Protection and damage as Retribution. The biggest change is a new kind of Seal Twisting. Read our post about the Paladin.
Bonuses for a long subscription
A 12-month subscription gives access to World of Warcraft, World of Warcraft: Forever and WoW Classic progression, now Mists of Pandaria Classic. With a 6- or 12-month offer you get bonuses, several of them for Forever once it launches in November. Which ones, is in our post about the bonuses.
The soundtrack
The soundtrack of Forever has 19 tracks, from Zephras Isle to the Summit of Eternity. It was composed by Adam Burgess, Brendon Williams, David Arkenstone, Neal Acree and Jason Hayes, with Derek Duke as music director. The full album is in our post about the soundtrack, and the list of tracks in the post about the release.
The recap also has a Twitch drop, a Grrgle decor item for player housing. That one is for the modern game, not for Forever.
