Deadmines drops speed up smelting and cooking

Two drops from The Deadmines now help professions in World of Warcraft: Forever. Smelting Pants make smelting faster and Cookie’s Stirring Rod speeds up Cooking. A crafted hammer also replaces the Blacksmith Hammer in your bags.

Both drops are blue, and the guide to The Deadmines lists them with their bosses. The pants cut the crafting time of Smelt Copper, Smelt Tin, Smelt Bronze and Smelt Silver by 25%, handy for early Miners. The wand raises Cooking speed by 25% and got that effect in the latest build.

Item Type Level Bonus
Smelting Pants Leather legs 16 Smelt Copper, Tin, Bronze and Silver 25% faster
Cookie’s Stirring Rod Wand 17 Cooking 25% faster
Arcanite Blacksmith Hammer Thrown 49 Serves as a Blacksmith Hammer

The Arcanite Blacksmith Hammer is a thrown weapon for Blacksmiths, with Blacksmithing 270 required. It has a chance on hit to stun the target for 1 second. According to its tooltip it also serves as a Blacksmith Hammer, so the old hammer no longer takes up a bag slot. How the recipe is learned, is not known yet.

Such items are upgrades that do not always add power. That is the horizontal progression Forever aims for.
