Eight starter zone drops turn green

Eight items that drop in the starting zones of World of Warcraft: Forever are green now instead of white. Each one gains one or two points of a stat, some also get a little more armor, and all eight now bind when equipped. The change came with the beta build of 16 October.

Most of the items drop in Elwynn Forest and Dun Morogh, a few in Tirisfal Glades. More drops may follow, but Blizzard has not said anything about it.

The eight items

Item Slot Level New stat Armor
Ice-covered Bracers Leather Wrist 7 +1 Agility 26 → 27
Royal Frostmane Girdle Mail Waist 8 +2 Intellect 69 → 73
Wendigo Fur Cloak Back 6 +1 Strength 10
Wispy Cloak Back 5 (3) +1 Spirit 8 → 10
Ghostly Bracers Cloth Wrist 5 +1 Intellect 8
Ratty Old Belt Leather Waist 7 +2 Strength 33 → 35
Lithe Boots Leather Feet 7 +2 Stamina 40 → 42
Fingerless Gloves Cloth Hands 8 +2 Agility 15

The level is the required level. Wispy Cloak now needs level 5 instead of 3, and its item level went from 9 to 10.

What it changes

One point of Agility or Stamina is small, but in the first ten levels you have little else. The items also help Enchanting: a white item cannot be disenchanted, a green one can, so early enchanters get a few more sources of materials. And because they bind when equipped, you can sell them on the auction house.

Not every stat fits the armor. Fingerless Gloves are cloth with Agility, and Ratty Old Belt is leather with Strength.

More quality changes in the same build

The client data of the same build shows a few more changes that the patch notes do not mention:

The same build also lowered the vendor price of 79 crafted items.
