Leveling addon Journey is free up to level 30

Journey is a new leveling guide addon for World of Warcraft: Forever. Levels 1 to 30 are free for everyone, also after launch. The full route to level 60 is a one-time purchase and unlocks on 4 November, when Forever opens.

What the addon does

A panel shows the next step and an arrow points the way. Journey detects the faction and class and loads the right route; an existing character gets a catch-up step at its level. The addon also says which flight path to take, what to buy at a vendor and which quest to abandon.

Journey works without TomTom and runs alongside Questie and ElvUI. Hard quests can be skipped, and the route adjusts when a quest is no longer available. Quest rewards for your class are named in the steps.

Who makes the routes

Journey builds on the original 1 to 60 routes of Joana, one of the first Vanilla speedrunners, with permission from Joana’s family and TomCat’s Gaming, which owns Joana’s Guides. The Forever routes are by Alenya, a Classic speedrunner who has written 1 to 60 guides for eight years, with a team of record-holding speedrunners and class experts.

The free part already has Forever’s new quests and the Skyborne start on Zephras Isle for both factions. The new race and class combinations, such as the Undead Paladin, the Orc Mage and the Dwarf Shaman, have their class quests in the route. Steps for Cooking and the new Camping system use their experience bonus.

Levels 30 to 60

On 4 November, levels 30 to 60 start on the classic route. About a week after launch, Forever’s new quests and zones are added to it, around five levels every four to five days. Dungeon quests come later as an option. Duo and group routes are planned, and so is Hardcore with a Self-Found version, which is not part of this purchase.

Price

There is no subscription. Until 4 December, both factions cost 30 dollars and one faction 25 dollars, plus tax. After that the price becomes 45 and 30 dollars. A purchase covers every character on one Battle.net account, and a refund is possible within 14 days.

The addon itself and levels 1 to 30 are free, as Blizzard’s addon policy requires; the paid part is extra guide content. The free version is on CurseForge.

Journey discount code

The creator code NUTRI works as a discount code and takes 10% off: 27 dollars for both factions, 22.50 for one. Our partner link applies the code at checkout; typing it in by hand works too. The other leveling addons for Forever are compared in the leveling addon comparison.
