Paladins earn a cloak only the Alliance can get

A quest chain on the WoW Forever beta gives Paladins the Cloak of the Divine Storm. It is the Divine Storm rune chain from Season of Discovery, with a cloak as the reward this time. For now, only the Alliance can complete it.

Aggrend said in an interview after BlizzCon that class quests from Season of Discovery return in Forever. Players have since found several of them on the beta.

The steps

  1. A Strange Artifact. In northern Darkshore, climb to the top of the Tower of Althalaxx and loot the Strange Orb at /way 56.2 26.5. The Althalaxx Orb starts A Strange Artifact.
  2. Advice From Stormwind. Bring the orb to Delgren the Purifier in Ashenvale, at /way 26.2 38.6. He gives Advice From Stormwind.
  3. A Second Opinion. Turn it in with Katherine the Pure in Stormwind, at /way 37.8 31.6, for A Second Opinion.
  4. Earning Your Salt. Ursula Deline of a hidden sect of Warlocks in the Mage Quarter, at /way 26.2 77.4, gives Earning Your Salt. Collect 14 Summoner’s Salt from Blackrock Summoners, Champions and Trackers in the Redridge Mountains.
  5. It Must Be Destroyed. Ursula then gives It Must Be Destroyed. Collect 12 Mote of Mannoroth from Mannoroc Lashers, Searing Infernals, Felguards and Legion Hounds in Demon Fall Canyon, in the southeast of Ashenvale.
  6. Return to Delgren. Use the Spear of Mannoroth at /way 89 77 in the canyon. The Shattered Orb appears and gives Return to Delgren. Bring the Orb Fragments to Delgren for the cloak.

Horde Paladins wait

Horde Paladins, who are always Undead in Forever, cannot do the chain for now. Every step runs through Alliance NPCs. Blizzard said earlier that the factions do not need to match one to one. Whether this gap is intended, is not known; the Paladin weapons of both factions have changed several times during the beta.
