Seaforium kegs clear Dark Iron packs in the Hall of Thanes

A route through the Hall of Thanes, the new Alliance dungeon under Ironforge, room by room, points out kegs that blow up Dark Iron packs, a disease worth curing and a totem that takes the fear out of the final boss.

The way in

Face the High Seat from the Great Forge. Inside King Magni’s hall, a cobwebbed passage opens on the left, at /way 43.5 52.0. It leads down over lava to the portal, and a fall is lethal.

What the route teaches

  • Shoot the kegs. Kegs of Seaforium Blasting Powder stand next to several Dark Iron packs. A ranged player shoots them and the pack takes the blast. Before the pack of four after the cave, shoot both kegs at the same time.
  • Cure the Runts. Bloodhound Runts leave Infected Wounds for 5 minutes, which raises physical damage taken. A Simple Poultice from First Aid or the Dwarf racial Stoneform removes it.
  • Drop a totem. Durgen Dirgehammer fears the group into the rest of the room. A Shaman’s Tremor Totem stops that.
  • Faldrim comes alone. The first boss does not pull the ghosts around him along.

The full route, with every quest, boss and reward, is in the Hall of Thanes guide.

What is not known

Whether the kegs come back after a wipe, the guide does not say. Nor is it known whether the Horde gets a shorter way to Ironforge before the launch on 4 November.
