Testers could not log in after the new build

Many testers could not log into the World of Warcraft: Forever beta in the night of 1 to 2 October. They got stuck while the game retrieved their characters. Blizzard confirmed the problem at 02.03 Belgian time on the forums.

The beta had just come back with the level 30 build. Community manager Kaivax wrote:

We’re aware of and working to address an issue that appears to be preventing testers from logging into the WoW: Forever Beta.

We will continue to work to fix this as swiftly as possible.

Some players got in by simply waiting. In the forum thread, the first testers reported around 02.38 Belgian time that they could log in again, one of them “over an hour later”.

Blizzard did not post that the problem was fixed, and did not say what caused it.
