The beta is back after a snag

The beta of World of Warcraft: Forever is back online after the stress test of 21 October. Blizzard hit a small snag while turning it back on. Within minutes, players reported that it worked again.

Game producer Zorbrix posted the news on the official forums at 03:46 Belgian time: “We hit a small snag while turning the WoW Forever Beta back online. We’re working right now to get it back.”

Fully exit the Battle.net app

Whoever still cannot log in can force the update. Blizzard advises fully exiting the Battle.net Desktop App, not just closing its window, and opening it again. The app then fetches the new beta build manually.

Until Friday at level 30

The characters from the stress test were deleted when it ended; the beta characters stay. The beta keeps the level cap of 30 and closes for good on Friday 23 October at 19:00 Belgian time. The launch follows on 5 November at 00:00 Belgian time.
