The Tome of Dalaran summons Lyn the Ignored

The Tome of Dalaran on the WoW Forever beta has a purpose. It summons Lyn the Ignored, a hidden boss in the City of Dalaran dungeon. The tome starts as a Black Tome in Shadowfang Keep and changes at a crystal in Ambermill.

Players have carried the tome out of Shadowfang Keep since the start of the beta, without knowing what it was for. The City of Dalaran dungeon, for levels 28 to 33, has been on the beta since the build of 8 October. Players found the summoning circle soon after.

The Black Tome

Clear Shadowfang Keep and defeat the last boss, Archmage Arugal. Climb the stairs at the back of his room. On a table full of alchemy ingredients lies the Black Tome.

Its tooltip sends you to the Ambermill Leyline Focus. That is a blue crystal in the town hall at the back of Ambermill, in Silverpine Forest. It stands next to Archmage Ataeric, at /way 63.4 64.3. Use the Black Tome at the crystal and it becomes the Tome of Dalaran.

Summoning Lyn the Ignored

Take the tome into the City of Dalaran. Go through the Underbelly and past Atrexis the Grave Knight. Before the ramp on the right that leads to the Arcane Anomaly, go straight ahead and clear the small room behind it.

A summoning circle lies on the floor there. Use the Tome of Dalaran on the circle and Lyn the Ignored appears.

What Lyn the Ignored drops and how the fight works, is not known yet. The other bosses of the dungeon are in the City of Dalaran guide.
