Three new pets hide in Stormwind, Undercity and Zephras Isle

3 min read

WoW Forever hides three new pets in the world. A rare crocolisk in the canals of Stormwind drops the Baby Crocolisk. In Undercity, a slime gives up a pet after a dance. A frog on Zephras Isle wants a song. All three are on the beta.

Baby Crocolisk in Stormwind

The Sewer Beast patrols the canals of Stormwind and drops the Baby Crocolisk. On the beta it is a rare of level 50, and large raid groups of low-level players have brought it down. How often it drops the pet is not known.

Excitable Slime in Undercity

The second pet asks for no raid group, only some patience. It takes these steps:

  1. Buy the food. Boyle, the Sludge Seller in Undercity, sells Nutritious Slime Sludge at /way 56.2 64.6.
  2. Find the slime. Jump into the canal and look for an Excitable Slime that patrols there.
  3. Dance. Target it and use /dance until it dances back. That takes several tries.
  4. Take the quest. The slime then offers WRIGGLE.. If it seems tired, the quest says, dance with it again.
  5. Feed it. Hand over the Nutritious Slime Sludge and the Excitable Slime is yours, with 10 experience on top.

Use /dance at the pet later on, and it dances along wherever you are.

Musical Gustjumper on Zephras Isle

The Musical Gustjumper sits on Zephras Isle, the starting zone of the Skyborne, at /way 51.5 72.3. Even a level 1 character gets there, often without a fight. Follow the road south from Thendal Village and cut across a short field to the waterfalls. Do not run down the path below them.

At the top of the waterfall, a group of Musical Gustjumpers sits on a rock. Jump on the log to reach them. Target a frog and use /sing. It sings back, the group disappears, and a frog you can click appears on the log next to you. Click it to learn the pet.

Learned, not carried

All three items say “Teaches you how to summon this companion”. The pet becomes a spell, so it no longer takes a spot in your bags. The game data marks every pet as account-wide, so a pet learned once would be there for every character. Blizzard has not said so itself.

Every pet in the files of WoW Forever, with where it comes from, is in the new pet guide. Each of the three has a page of its own: the Baby Crocolisk, the Excitable Slime and the Musical Gustjumper.
