Stormpike Guard reputation guide

The Stormpike Guard is an expedition of dwarves from the Stormpike clan, who come from the Alterac Mountains. They search Alterac Valley for relics of their past and are at war with the Frostwolf Clan, the orcs in the south of the valley. The reputation is for the Alliance only; the Horde earns the Frostwolf Clan in the same battleground. Every character starts at Neutral.

Where the Stormpike Guard is

At The Headlands in the south of the Alterac Mountains. The base has an entrance to Alterac Valley, the quest givers and the quartermaster Thanthaldis Snowgleam. There is no flight path; the closest one is Southshore in Hillsbrad Foothills. Inside Alterac Valley, Gaelden Hammersmith in Dun Baldar sells the same items.

A win gives 3 Alterac Valley Marks of Honor, a loss 1. Concerted Efforts asks for 3 Marks of Honor from Alterac Valley, Arathi Basin and Warsong Gulch, and also gives reputation with the League of Arathor and the Silverwing Sentinels. The follow-up to The Battle of Alterac, Hero of the Stormpike, gives a choice of rare weapons. Humans get 10 percent more reputation through their racial trait Diplomacy.

The Stormpike Insignia

The insignia is a trinket that takes you back to Dun Baldar inside Alterac Valley. Every quest upgrades it, up to an epic trinket.

Some sources of reputation stop at Exalted, so the last points for rank 6 take a little extra work.

The fastest way to Exalted

1. Do the one-time quests first: together they give 500 reputation.
2. Help kill Drek’Thar and Captain Galvangar, and keep Captain Balinda Stonehearth alive; those are the biggest amounts per battle.
3. Turn in Marks of Honor in threes, and keep marks from all three battlegrounds for Concerted Efforts.
4. Do each Stormpike Insignia quest as soon as your standing opens it.
5. Neutral to Exalted is 42,000 reputation.
