Cozy Sleeping Bag: the full quest chain in WoW Forever

The Cozy Sleeping Bag is an item that lets you lie down anywhere and pick up bonus experience while you rest. It first appeared in Season of Discovery and it is back in WoW Forever, at the end of a quest chain that runs across half of Azeroth. Players found it on the beta; Blizzard has not announced it.

You need to be level 14 to start.

What the sleeping bag does

Unfurl it and lie in it. Every minute spent resting gives 1 percent bonus experience, stacking up to 3 percent. The buff holds for an hour, and the item goes on a one-hour cooldown. While you lie in the bag you also count as rested.

Three percent on its own is small. Stacked with other buffs, such as the 5 percent from cooking, it adds up on a long evening.

What the trail pays out

Along the way the chain hands out five Student Fodder, which restores health in Forever. In Season of Discovery the same item gave rested experience instead. Stepping Stones also rewards a 12-slot bag.

Each step gives a generous amount of experience for the level range, which is most of the reason to walk it at 14 rather than later.

Where it starts

The two factions begin in different places. Both look for the same thing: burned-out remains in a wreck.

Faction	Where to go
Alliance	Westfall, at the Alexston Farmstead, /way 37 50. Click the Burned-Out Remains in the wrecked cart, which starts …and that note you found.
Horde	The Barrens, on the road south of Camp Taurajo, /way 46 74. Click the Burned-Out Remains in the burnt tower, which starts …and that note you found.

From there the trail is the same for everyone, and it begins with Stepping Stones.

The chain, step by step

1. Stonetalon Mountains. Take the path northeast of Sun Rock Retreat at /way 50.9 52.3 and follow it to the abandoned camp at /way 40.6 52.4. Click the Pocket Litter lying on a box to finish Stepping Stones, then take Scramble.
2. The campfire, optional. Click the campfire in the middle of that camp for Rekindle. You complete it with the Simple Wood and the Flint and Tinder from the previous quest.
3. Up the hill. Head straight north and climb. From the edge, look for the Mound of Dirt at /way 39.6 49.8 and jump across to it. That finishes Scramble and gives you Wet Job.
4. Loch Modan. Go to the Loch Modan Dam at /way 49.4 12.9 and jump onto the carved heads that face the Wetlands to reach the Eagle Figurine. Clicking it finishes Wet Job and gives you Eagle’s Fist.
5. Hillsbrad Foothills. Find the Thoradin Wall on the border with the Arathi Highlands. On the Hillsbrad side, use the cart at /way 87.3 49.6 to climb into the wall. Go through the room inside and look outside to the right for a hanging Messenger Bag. Clicking it finishes Eagle’s Fist and gives you This Must Be The Place.
6. The reward. Below the bag hangs the Hastily Rolled-Up Satchel. Click it to finish the chain and take the Cozy Sleeping Bag.

Step 4 crosses Alliance ground. Horde players making the trip at 14 should expect company.

One thing to know before you start

On the beta the quests in this chain are visibly marked in the world. Whether that is intended or a beta setting, Blizzard has not said. Players who would rather find the trail themselves may want to wait until launch.
