Aggrend hints at something on the beta tonight

1 min read

Senior Game Designer Josh “Aggrend” Greenfield hints that something happens on the beta of World of Warcraft: Forever tonight. On the last full day of the beta, he advises players on X to log in once more “in a few hours”.

He posted it on 22 October at 17:51 Belgian time: “Final full day of beta today. Might be good to log in once more and check it out here in a few hours.” And then: “Just sayin’. No reason in particular.”

The end of a beta

Blizzard has closed earlier betas with an event in a capital, where developers summon a boss or a wave of monsters for testers to fight. Whether something like that happens on the Forever beta, and at what time exactly, is not known.

Until Friday

It turned out to be a 24-hour farewell celebration with epics, infernals, Azuregos and Kazzak.

The beta closes for good on Friday 23 October at 19:00 Belgian time. The launch follows on 5 November at 00:00 Belgian time.
