Every tradeskill brings its own buff to a campfire
Camping is one of the new systems in WoW Forever, and every tradeskill feeds it. Each one crafts items that go at a campsite, and anyone who sits there for a minute picks up the buff. You do not need the tradeskill yourself, and you do not need to be in a group.
The full list comes from the beta. Blizzard has not published the numbers.
How you get at it
A quest early in the game, The Great Outdoors, unlocks the perks. After that, a buff called
Campfire Nearby appears on your bar whenever you come near a camp someone has placed. Walk over, type /sit and stay put for a minute.
That is the whole social trick of the system: a camp left standing by a stranger works for you too.
What each tradeskill gives
| Tradeskill | The buff | Tier 1 | Tier 2 | Tier 3 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alchemy | Mana regeneration | |||
| Blacksmithing | Strength | |||
| Enchanting | Armor, all stats and resistances | |||
| Engineering | No stat buff | |||
| Herbalism | Intellect | |||
| Leatherworking | Rested experience, up to 5 percent of a level | |||
| Mining | Melee Attack Power | |||
| Skinning | 2 percent Crit | |||
| Tailoring | Spirit | |||
| Cooking | More room in the camp | |||
| First Aid | Stamina | |||
| Fishing | 8 percent to stats |
The stat buffs run through all three tiers of a tradeskill. What the higher tiers add is the workbench: an Anvil you can use, a Forge, an Arcane Forge, a Repair Bot that also repairs. Herbalism grows herbs from planted seeds at tier 2 and combines seeds into rarer ones at tier 3. Mining spawns a common node over time. Skinning hands out
Track Beasts.
Cooking is the odd one out. Its kits do not buff a stat; they decide how much else fits in the camp, from 3 extra features at tier 1 to 10 at tier 3.
How much each buff is worth in numbers, and whether the values survive the beta, Blizzard has not said.
