Everyone can join the stress test on 19 October
Every player can try World of Warcraft: Forever on 19 October. Blizzard opens a stress test for a limited time that day, from 19:00 Belgian time, and you need no subscription, no Game Time, no invitation and no beta access to join.
The launcher already showed the test two days ago. Now Blizzard has announced it, with the times and the steps to join.
When
| Region | Start |
|---|---|
| Europe | 19 October, 19:00 CEST (Belgian time) |
| North America | 19 October, 14:00 PDT |
| Korea | 20 October, 06:00 KST |
| Taiwan | 20 October, 05:00 CST |
Blizzard does not give an end time. The test may end earlier or run longer if needed. The beta goes offline shortly before the stress test starts and should return shortly after it ends.
How to join
- Update your graphics drivers.
- Open the Battle.net app and let it update.
- Pick World of Warcraft in the list of games.
- In the Game Version menu above the Play button, choose World of Warcraft: Forever Stress Test under In Development, and click Install.
- When the test starts, click Play and choose a test realm.
- Create a new test character and enter the game.
Blizzard asks players to bring friends and guilds, because the goal is to fill the servers. At the end, every character, name and guild on the stress test servers is wiped.
What comes next
21 October is the last full day of the beta, writes Blizzard. Early Name Reservation opens on 27 October and runs to 3 November, for players who pre-purchased the Skyborne Heroic Pack, the Skyborne Epic Pack or the Warcraft Forever Collection. Names are first come, first served; how names work in Forever is in our post about first and second names. The launch follows on 4 November. All dates are on the Forever hub.
