The launcher shows a stress test on 19 October

World of Warcraft: Forever appears to get a stress test on 19 October. The Battle.net launcher shows a new option, WoW: Forever - Stress Test. You can already download the client, and the launcher says it opens on 19 October.

Look under World of Warcraft in the launcher and pick the new game version from the list. The installation then starts as for any other version of the game.

What we do not know yet

Blizzard has not announced the stress test yet. It is not known who gets access, how long the test lasts or at what time it opens. A stress test usually puts as many players as possible on the servers at once, to see what they can handle before a launch.

The timing fits. Forever launches on 4 November, a little over two weeks after the test. The current beta stops at level 30.
