Booty Bay reputation guide

WoW ForeverStranglethorn ValeNeutral to Exalted

Based on Classic Era. WoW Forever has not shown its reputations yet, so the numbers and rewards below can still change.

Booty Bay is the pirate port on the southern tip of Stranglethorn Vale, run by Baron Revilgaz of the Blackwater Raiders. It belongs to the Steamwheedle Cartel, together with Everlook, Gadgetzan and Ratchet, and its great enemy is the Bloodsail Buccaneers. The reputation is open to Alliance and Horde. Every character starts at Neutral.

Where Booty Bay is

On the southern tip of Stranglethorn Vale. Baron Revilgaz and Fleet Master Seahorn, the leader of the Blackwater Raiders, live at the top of the inn, the Salty Sailor Tavern. A boat sails from Booty Bay to Ratchet in The Barrens.

Where the reputation comes from

Quests

Most quests for Booty Bay are in Stranglethorn Vale.

The whole cartel at once

Three repeatable quests raise all four Steamwheedle towns at once, without costing reputation with the Bloodsail Buccaneers: Free Knot! and The Gordok Ogre Suit in Dire Maul, and Again With the Zapped Giants in Feralas.

Losing reputation

Killing citizens of Booty Bay raises your reputation with the Bloodsail Buccaneers, but costs reputation with Booty Bay, and the other three goblin towns lose half of that.

Back from Hated

If you are Hated with Booty Bay, the repeatable quest Traitor to the Bloodsail brings you back to Neutral.

The fastest way to Exalted

  1. Do every quest in Stranglethorn Vale.
  2. Repeat Free Knot!, The Gordok Ogre Suit and Again With the Zapped Giants; they count for all four towns.
  3. Leave the citizens and guards of Booty Bay alone.

Rewards

There are no standing rewards. From Friendly on, the guards of Booty Bay help you when someone attacks you, and as with every faction, vendor prices follow your standing.
