Gadgetzan reputation guide
Based on Classic Era. WoW Forever has not shown its reputations yet, so the numbers and rewards below can still change.
Gadgetzan is the capital of the Steamwheedle Cartel in the desert of Tanaris, home to the finest goblin engineers, alchemists and merchants. It belongs to the cartel together with Booty Bay, Everlook and Ratchet. The reputation is open to Alliance and Horde. Every character starts at Neutral.
Where Gadgetzan is
In the north of Tanaris. The quests of the town deal with the Wastewander bandits who keep valuable resources to themselves, and with the secrets of the Noggenfogger Elixir.

Where the reputation comes from
Quests and kills
Most quests for Gadgetzan are in Tanaris. Killing the Southsea pirates and the Wastewander bandits also raises your reputation with the cartel.
The whole cartel at once
Three repeatable quests raise all four Steamwheedle towns at once, without costing reputation with the Bloodsail Buccaneers: Free Knot! and The Gordok Ogre Suit in Dire Maul, and Again With the Zapped Giants in Feralas.
Losing reputation
When you lose reputation with Booty Bay by killing its citizens, the other goblin towns, Gadgetzan among them, lose half of that. See Bloodsail Buccaneers.
Back from Hated
If you are Hated with Gadgetzan, the repeatable quest War at Sea brings you back to Neutral.
The fastest way to Exalted
- Do every quest in Tanaris, and kill Southsea and Wastewander enemies along the way.
- Repeat Free Knot!, The Gordok Ogre Suit and Again With the Zapped Giants; they count for all four towns.
- Do not kill goblins of the cartel.
Rewards
There are no standing rewards. As with every faction, vendor prices follow your standing.
