Jewelcrafting leveling guide
Jewelcrafting in WotLK Classic runs from 375 to 450 on gems from prospecting Cobalt and Saronite Ore, which makes Mining the natural partner. Learn Grand Master Jewelcrafting at character level 65 as soon as you reach Northrend. Counts are approximate: a recipe can turn green a few points earlier or later.

Prospecting Cobalt and Saronite Ore gives the uncommon gems. Earthsiege and Skyflare Diamonds come from prospecting Saronite, from dungeons and from alchemy transmutes. Shadowmight Ring (Eternal Earth and Eternal Shadow) works as well as Stoneguard Band.

- Grand Master Jewelcrafting is taught by Timothy Jones in Dalaran for both factions, by Ounhulo in Howling Fjord and Alestos in Borean Tundra for the Alliance, and by Carter Tiffens in Howling Fjord and Geba’li in Borean Tundra for the Horde.
- Timothy Jones also gives a daily quest that rewards a Dalaran Jewelcrafter’s Token. Tiffany Cartier in Dalaran sells designs for those tokens.
- From 425 you can make Icy Prism once every 20 hours, which gives skill up to 450 without spending diamonds.
