Excavation Site rewards drop to uncommon

Quest rewards of the Excavation Site: Wetlands drop from rare to uncommon in World of Warcraft: Forever. Seven items are affected, with lower stats to match. The beta build of 8 October also lowers two amulets of item level 43.

Blizzard confirms the change in the notes of the build: various dungeon quest rewards go from rare to uncommon, and their stats follow the new quality. Which items, the notes do not say. The list below comes from the data of the build.

The Excavation Site opened a week earlier, together with the level 30 cap, and drew many players. Its quests are still worth doing, but the rewards are smaller.

From rare to uncommon

Hornbeam Heft Horrors in the Highland One-handed axe, 36 to 67 damage, 3 Strength, 6 Stamina, 3 Spirit 19 to 36 damage, 6 Strength, up to 26 spell damage and healing

Daewyn’s Girdle Fallen in the Fen Cloth belt, 9 Spirit, 6 spell power, 10 health per 5 seconds 6 Spirit, 7 spell power
Satchel of Potions Changing Tastes, Heartwoven Trinket that hands out a random potion Same effect

Hornbeam Heft and Ironwood Destroyer lose weapon damage and get spell power instead of most of their old stats.

Two amulets and two cloaks

Amulet of Vengeance and Amulet of Forgiveness, both of item level 43, also go from rare to uncommon. Vengeance drops from 8 Strength and 10 Stamina to 6 and 7. Forgiveness loses 8 Intellect and 10 Spirit for 7 Spirit, up to 13 healing and up to 4 spell damage. Which quest gives them, is not in the data of the build.

Two cloaks of the Excavation Site stay rare, but get new stats. Furs of the Earthen Ring, from Earthen Echo, now gives 5 Strength, 5 Intellect and 5 Spirit. Explorer’s League Dustcover, from Prehistoric Prism, gives 5 Agility, 5 Intellect and 5 Spirit.

The route, the bosses and every quest are in the guide to the Excavation Site. Earlier, the rewards of the library quests went down in the same way. More changes of this build are in the post about the build.
