Hunters win back Trueshot Aura and hit harder
Hunters in World of Warcraft: Forever get back most of what they lost last week, and more. Hotfixes on the live servers cut Aspect of the Hawk and Trueshot Aura by about half. Now both go up again, close to their values before the cut, and several shots deal more damage. Blizzard confirms the changes in the development notes of 2 November.
Aspect of the Hawk and Trueshot Aura
Ranged attack power per rank, after the cut and now:
| Rank | Now | Now | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 15 | 20 | 15 | 20 |
| 2 | 22 | 35 | 22 | 35 |
| 3 | 30 | 50 | 30 | 50 |
| 4 | 38 | 70 | 40 | 75 |
| 5 | 47 | 90 | 50 | 100 |
| 6 | 55 | 110 |
Trueshot Aura works for the whole raid, so every melee and Hunter in it gains as well.
Shots
| Ability | Change |
|---|---|
| Bonus damage about 110% higher on all ranks, at the top rank 350 (was 166) | |
| Bonus damage doubled, at rank 3 590 (was 295) | |
| About 30% more base damage, and attack power scaling from 0.10 to 0.15 | |
| About 20% more base damage, and 5% attack power per tick (was 3%) | |
| Up to 15% Agility (was 10%) |
Other changes
- All traps share one 30 second cooldown. Fire and Frost traps had separate cooldowns before.
Hunter’s Mark no longer stacks with itself through different ranks, and rank 4 no longer gives less than rank 3.
Pathfinding moves from row 2 to row 3 in Beast Mastery.
Lacerating Strikes from Survival always replaces your own older effect.- Pets keep their innate attack speed when you untrain them.
The new values are in the game, but our talent calculator still places Pathfinding in row 2 until the new tree is in the game data. Builds are in the Marksmanship, Beast Mastery and Survival guides.
