Timbermaw Hold reputation guide
Based on Classic Era. WoW Forever has not shown its reputations yet, so the numbers and rewards below can still change.
Timbermaw Hold is the faction of the Timbermaw furbolgs, a tribe that has not been corrupted like the other furbolgs of Kalimdor. Their tunnel connects Felwood with Winterspring and Moonglade. Every character starts at Hostile, so the furbolgs in and around the tunnel attack on sight. The reputation is open to the Alliance and the Horde alike.
Why this reputation is worth it
- The tunnel. Once you are past Hostile, the furbolgs of Timbermaw Hold stop attacking, and the tunnel becomes the short way from Felwood to Winterspring and Moonglade.
- Recipes for Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Leatherworking and Tailoring, from Friendly to Revered.
- Defender of the Timbermaw, a trinket from a quest that opens at Exalted.

Sources do not agree on where exactly inside Hostile a new character starts. Count on close to 48,000 reputation to reach Exalted.
Where the reputation comes from
Killing furbolgs
- Deadwood furbolgs live in camps in Felwood, Winterfall furbolgs in Winterspring.
- A normal furbolg gives 5 reputation per kill. Named furbolgs such as Overlord Ror and High Chief Winterfall give more.
- Kill reputation stops at Revered. From there on, only turn-ins count.
Turning in feathers and beads
Deadwood furbolgs drop Deadwood Headdress Feathers, and Winterfall furbolgs drop Winterfall Spirit Beads. Three furbolgs of Timbermaw Hold take them in a repeatable quest, 5 at a time, for 50 reputation. That makes every feather or bead worth 10 reputation, all the way to Exalted.

Humans get 10% more reputation from their racial Diplomacy, so a turn-in gives them 55.
The fastest way to Exalted
- Do the one-time quests of Timbermaw Hold in Felwood and Winterspring as you pass through. They give more reputation than a turn-in.
- Farm the camp of Deadwood or Winterfall furbolgs that has the fewest players, and keep every feather and bead.
- Turn in at the NPC closest to where you farm.
- From Revered on, kills no longer count. Revered to Exalted is 21,000 reputation: 2,100 feathers or beads, or 420 turn-ins. Buying feathers and beads on the Auction House saves many hours here.

At Exalted, Gorn One Eye in Timbermaw Hold offers the quest The Root of All Evil. Its reward is Defender of the Timbermaw, a trinket that summons a Timbermaw Ancestor to heal you and your group and to attack your enemies.
