Alchemy in Classic Era runs from 1 to 300 on herbs alone, which makes Herbalism the natural partner. The route below uses trainer recipes only. Counts are approximate: a recipe can turn green a few points earlier or later.

Trainers and tips

• Apprentice, Journeyman and Expert training is available in every capital. Artisan training from 225 is only in Feralas for the Alliance and in Swamp of Sorrows for the Horde.
• The Minor Healing Potions from the first step are needed again for Lesser Healing Potions, so keep them.
• Transmute: Arcanite at 275 turns an Arcane Crystal and a Thorium Bar into an Arcanite Bar, which sells well. The transmute has a long cooldown.
• The most valuable recipes at 300, such as the flasks, drop in dungeons and need an alchemy lab to craft.
