Inscription leveling guide
Inscription in Cata Classic runs from 450 to 525 on Blackfallow Ink and Inferno Ink from milling Cataclysm herbs, which makes Herbalism the natural partner. The last two steps are expensive, so collect Volatile Life early. Counts are approximate: a recipe can turn green a few points earlier or later.

Blackfallow Ink is made from Ashen Pigment. Burning Embers are the rare pigment from milling, and two make one Inferno Ink: the last steps need about 28. Parchment is sold by the trade supplies vendors, and the relic also needs a special material from the auction house.

Trainers and tips
- Illustrious Grand Master Inscription is taught by the inscription trainers in the capital cities, such as Stormwind City and Orgrimmar, from character level 75.
- The three Origami recipes drop in Vashj’ir, Deepholm and Uldum. A recipe does not drop again while you have it in your bags or bank.
- Forged Documents cost only a Blackfallow Ink and a Resilient Parchment but can be made once a day, which is a cheap but slow way through 510-520. Dust of Disappearance can replace Origami Slime.
