Inscription leveling guide
Inscription is new in WotLK Classic, so this guide runs from 1 to 450. You mill herbs into pigments, turn those into inks, and write scrolls and glyphs, which makes Herbalism the natural partner. Counts are approximate: a recipe can turn green a few points earlier or later.

Milling takes five herbs of the same kind and gives pigments. All parchment is sold by the trade supplies vendors, and the rare pigments such as Burnt Pigment are optional.

Trainers and tips
- Apprentice to Artisan Inscription is taught in every capital city, Master Inscription in Hellfire Peninsula or Shattrath City, and Grand Master Inscription by Professor Pallin in Dalaran for both factions, at character level 65.
- Northrend Inscription Research teaches new major glyphs and has a daily cooldown. From about 430 the easiest way up is to keep using it and make the new glyphs it teaches.
- Glyphs sell well on the auction house, because every class wants them. That makes Inscription one of the few tradeskills that pays for itself while you level it.
