Inscription es nueva en WotLK Classic, así que esta guía va del 1 al 450. Mueles hierbas para sacar pigmentos, los conviertes en tintas y escribes pergaminos y glifos, así que Herbalism es la pareja natural. Las cantidades son aproximadas: una receta puede pasar a verde unos puntos antes o después.

- Inscription de Apprentice a Artisan se aprende en cada capital, Master Inscription en Hellfire Peninsula o Shattrath City, y Grand Master Inscription con Professor Pallin en Dalaran para ambas facciones, a nivel 65.
- Northrend Inscription Research enseña glifos mayores nuevos y tiene un tiempo de reutilización diario. Desde el 430, lo más fácil es usarla cada día y hacer los glifos nuevos que enseña.
- Los glifos se venden bien en la casa de subastas, porque todas las clases los quieren. Por eso Inscription es de las pocas profesiones que se pagan solas mientras las subes.
