Cooking leveling guide
Cooking in WotLK Classic runs from 375 to 450 with recipes bought for Epicurean’s Awards, which you earn with the daily cooking quest in Dalaran. The dishes give strong buff food for dungeons and raids. Counts are approximate: a recipe can turn green a few points earlier or later.
What to gather or buy
| Material | About |
|---|---|
| Chunk o’ Mammoth | 60 |
| Shoveltusk Flank or Glacial Salmon | 30 |
| Northern Spices | 90 |
| Epicurean’s Award | 12 |
Northern Spices come from the daily quests or from the Dalaran cooking vendors, 10 for one Epicurean’s Award. Where a step lists several dishes, pick the one whose meat or fish is cheapest.

Trainers and tips
- Grand Master Cooking is taught in Howling Fjord by Brom Brewbaster for the Alliance and Thomas Kolichio for the Horde, and in Borean Tundra by Rollick MacKreel for the Alliance and Orn Tenderhoof for the Horde.
- The daily cooking quest comes from Katherine Lee in Dalaran for the Alliance and Awilo Lon’gomba for the Horde. You can do one each day, and each gives an Epicurean’s Award.
- Recipes cost 3 Epicurean’s Awards each at Derek Odds in Dalaran for the Alliance and Misensi for the Horde. Great Feast and Fish Feast are worth buying for raids later.
